FAQs

1. Where are you located ?

We are located near Grafton Street and Trinity College. Our precise location is kept secret and all the information on how to find us and get into the bar will be in your confirmation email.

2. I didn’t receive my confirmation email , what should I do ?

Sometimes our confirmation emails can end up in your spam folder or, in Gmail, your promotions folder, so have a look first. If you still can’t find it, please either send us an email to reservations@theblindpig.ie or call us on +353 1 565 4700 and we will sort that out for you.

3. Do you have an age limit ?

Given that we are a bar that serves food, we ask that all patrons be over 18’s only. Customers under the age of 18 are not permitted to be on the premises.

4. Do you serve tapas ?

We do have some starters on our a la carte menu that is similar to tapas but please note that our platters menu is for groups of 25 or more only.

5. Do I need to book for just drinks or can I just walk in ?

We always recommend making a booking, even if it is just for drinks, as we can fill up quite quickly, especially on busy weekend nights. However, if you want to chance your arm and just walk in, you’re more than welcome and we would love to have you here !

6. I booked for cocktails only and got allocated to the bar. What can I do ?

Give us a call or email us and we will see what we can do to help. Please note that we are a tiny little venue and if your booking is during dinner service, there is a chance that we may not have a table available and the bar is all we have left. However, booking at the bar is great craic, you get to chat with the barman and get customised drinks, it doesn’t get any better than that !

7. What’s your maximum party size ?

The maximum that we can seat for dinner in The Blind Pig is 12. However, our sister venue upstairs, The Little Pig, can seat up to 36 for dinner. It has the same staff, the same food, a similar cocktail menu and uses The Blind Pig’s old entrance to get in. You would need both a password and a code to gain access. You can see the website here at thelittlepig.ie.

8. What time does your music start ?

Our music starts at 9:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.

9. Is there a service charge ?

Yes, we do put a service charge on all parties of six or more and all platters orders for private parties.

11. Is there a minimum number to book a private cocktail class ?

For a team-building cocktail masterclass, we ask for a minimum of six participants. For a regular cocktail class, we ask for a minimum of six.

12. What time are your monthly cocktail classes held ?

They are held on Saturdays, once a month, from 1 pm3 pm. Dates for them are on our ‘cocktail classes’ page on our website.

13. Can you eat at the bar ?

Our bar is jam-packed full of homemade syrups, bitters and all kinds of other goodness to put into your cocktails so there isn’t a whole lot of room left there for plates. As such, we ask that all food bookings get allocated a table whereas cocktails only bookings go to the bar ( where they can chat with the bartender and have a great ol’ time ).

14. Do you served nonalcoholic drinks ?

Yes, we serve nonalcoholic beer and all of our seasonal cocktail menus have a mocktail as the first drink listed. Feel free to ask our bar staff what they would recommend based on your personal preferences.
